Rusty Patched Bumble Bee

The rusty-patched bumble bee (bombus affinis) is a native North American bee, which was added to the endangered species list in January 2017—the first bee species in the continental US. Its male and worker bees are characterized by a rust-colored splotch on the back. This was designed to be turned into a pin in the future.
